Updated: Jan 5, 2022
Verity is a thriller, romance about a struggling author that goes by the name Lowen Ashleigh. Who is on the brink of being in financial ruin when she gets a life-changing job offer? Jeremy Crawford, the husband of famous author Verity Crawford, hires Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is incapable of finishing. However, when Lowen arrives at the Crawford property she soon realizes something is wrong.
Once again Colleen Hoover has me speechless still thinking about the ending of this book. It happened to be nothing like I had expected it to be it was much more. When I first got this book I thought it would be cheesy and mediocre however when I started reading more that was not the case. I got the chills, I laughed, I felt disgusted. This book made me feel too many emotions at once I felt as if I was watching a movie or it was as if I was in the movie. I love how I could not predict what was going to happen next. I now understand the hype about this book. In addition to what I have just said If you are not looking for a thriller/mystery/horror/eerie book you may not enjoy this book as much as I have. If I could describe this book In one word I would use WOW because that's how it had me feeling as I turned to the last page.
Overall, I would give verity a 4.5/5 because the ending had me torn between thinking two different things like, was it true or not.
